An Arizona-based eatery is bringing its healthy menu to the Baltimore area. Grabbagreen opened its first Maryland location Monday in Hunt Valley. The fast-casual restaurant serves grain bowls, salads, pressed juices, smoothies, acai cups and more.
Customers can build their own green and grain bowls, or choose from signature bowls such as the Patagonia bowl (black beans, cilantro, corn, quinoa, red onion, red pepper, steak and chimichurri sauce); Tokyo Bay bowl (avocado, broccoli, brown rice, carrots, cucumber, edamame, green onion, salmon, and miso ginger sauce); or the Orange County bowl (carrots, chicken, cilantro, cucumber, edamame, green onion, spinach and orange cashew sauce).
The new location at 100 Shawan Road in the Hunt Valley Towne Centre is owned by franchisees Marcella Cucchiara and Michele Rehmeyer. The restaurant is the first Grabbagreen for Cucchiara and Rehmeyer, who plan to open two more locations in York and Lancaster, Pa., marking another new state for the chain.
Founded in 2013, Grabbagreen has 25 locations in nine states. The restaurant claims its menu is free of gluten, preservatives and GMOs.
The Hunt Valley restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
